Tasting Campanile Pinot Grigio 2012

• Name: Campanile Pinot Grigio 2012
• Variety: Pinot Gris
• Region: Fruili Grave
• Country: Italy
• Year: 2012
• Price: $8.99
• Shop/wine critic/winery review: "This Campanile wine is a blend primarily of Pinot Grigio grapes, but small amounts of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco were added to balance the structure and add creamy apple-vanilla flavors. Vinification in stainless steel tanks took place for 10 days at controlled temperatures. This cool fermentation was done in order to retain the varietal character of the Pinot Grigio grapes. The wine was matured for four months in stainless steel to retain freshness, balance, and good acidity in the finished wine."

• My review: This white wine smells very sweet and a little fruity. This wine has a short body and a soft finish. It was very easy and pleasant to drink. It is refreshing and thirst quenching. I enjoyed the wine a lot, even though it was overpriced in the restaruent in beverly hills.
• I had this wine at a restaurant, it was $7 per glass.
