Tasting DueTorri Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie

• Name: DueTorri Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie
• Variety: Pinot Grigio
• Region: Friuli Venezie
• Country: Italy
• Year: 2012
• Price: $7.99
• Shop/wine critic/winery review: "Pinot Grigio thrives in the area known as “Tre Venezie,” which encompasses a vast territory in northwestern Italy, including the regions of Veneto, Fruili-Venezia Giulia, and Trentino-Alto Adige. The grapes for this wine were hand picked and soft pressed. The wine was then fermented and aged in stainless steel, followed by a minimum of two months of aging in bottle. This exquisite dry white is fragrant on the nose and fresh on the palate, with an excellent balance of acidity and minerality. Enjoy as an aperitif or serve with hors d’oeuvres and seafood dishes."
• My review: This dry white wine smells sweet and fruity. The wine itself tastes dry, but also thirst quencing at the same time. I had this wine when it is cold, it has a short body and a soft finish. It is a wine that you can enjoy with the whole family, along with crackers and salami.

• I had this wine at home with cheese and salami
