Tasting Protocolo Vino de la Tierra de Castilla

• Name: Protocolo Vino de la Tierra de Castilla

• Variety: Tempranillo

• Region: Castilla
• Country: Spain
• Year: 2012
• Price: $6.95
• Shop/wine critic/winery review: "Mostly Airen with a little bit of Macabeo .Greenish gold. Subtle aromas of mint, lemon and orange, with a hint of honeysuckle. Dry, understated and focused, offering clean citrus and melon flavors and slow-building sweetness. Finishes dry and brisk, with an echo of lemon. As usual, this is an outstanding value."
• My review: This white spanish wine smelled very nice, a bit fruity and some mint aromas. I liked the color a lot, it had a golden yellow aspect. The taste of this wine is not like most white wines, it is a bit sweet and was very dry. It did not have a full body, it was rather weak. I can taste some tannins at the end, but it was not a hot finish. It was pretty easy to drink.
• I had this wine at wine tasting.
